Job Summary
MRI Technologist role delivering high-resolution MRI images with precision, safety, and compassionate patient care in an outpatient imaging environment. Responsibilities include operating MRI scanners, selecting imaging techniques based on orders and patient condition, ensuring MRI safety (zones I–IV), screening for contraindications, monitoring patients during procedures, and maintaining clean, complete documentation in PACS and imaging software. The position emphasizes mastery of MRI physics, cross-sectional anatomy, contrast administration protocols, and the ability to manage workflow autonomously while upholding high clinical standards. Strong patient communication, mentorship, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous professional growth within a collaborative, purpose-driven imaging team are core to success. Required Qualifications
- ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification
- Valid state licensure current (where required)
- Hands-on CPR/BLS certified and current
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic or MRI Technology program
- 1+ year of experience in a high-volume MRI environment preferred
- MRI safety zones and screening protocols second nature
- Proficiency in PACS and imaging software systems
- Confident in contrast administration and contraindication assessment
- Strong communication skills with patients, physicians, and teammates
- Calm under pressure and sharp under a deadline
- Willingness to mentor staff and students and contribute to a positive clinical culture
