Job Summary

Perform MRI scans ensuring high diagnostic quality films while maintaining patient flow and throughput. Execute quality control procedures and position patients under the supervision of the Lead MRI Technologist. Interact professionally with patients, referring physicians, and staff to manage diverse clinical needs. Requires ARRT registration, MR certification, and IV experience. Bilingual Spanish/Portuguese preferred. Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM at Wakefield, RI clinical site. Join an award-winning organization providing imaging excellence for over 80 years.

Required Qualifications

  • Physical dexterity and strength to operate all types of MR related equipment, properly position patients, and handle patient films and files
  • Conceptual ability to determine means of providing requested studies based on the specifics of each case
  • Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress, referring physicians and staff, radiologists, fellow employees, supplier and service representatives, and any/all others who they will come in contact with during the course of the business day
  • Organizational skills as required by the position
  • Analytical skills necessary for the compilation and interpretation of data
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide proper patient care
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to perform exams as outlined by governing bodies and RIMI protocol
  • Must be ARRT registered
  • MR Certification
  • IV experience
  • Ability to walk and stand intermittently throughout the day
  • May lift/position patients and supplies up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to move patients from scanner tables and transport patients in wheelchairs and/or stretchers
  • Ability to crouch, reach, and lift to allow appropriate manipulation positioning and placement of ancillary equipment
  • Will have exposure to high magnetic fields and cannot have any physical condition that would be aggravated by magnetic fields, acoustic noise, and occasional RF exposure
  • Ability to work in Zone 3 and Zone 4
