Job Summary

Perform MRI procedures according to physician orders, reviewing patient histories to identify contraindications and ensuring safety during scans. Operate MRI and processing equipment proficiently while educating and preparing patients for exams to alleviate concerns. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, monitor functionality, and report issues promptly. Verify orders and patient identification prior to procedures, document findings, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate imaging results. Ensure compliance with MRI safety standards and department protocols. This role supports diagnostic and treatment services, requiring an ARRT or ARM Rit certification and BCLS.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program
  • 0-2 years of clinical experience as a registered MRI Technologist
  • Knowledge of MRI principles, safety standards, and imaging techniques
  • Proficient in operating MRI equipment and associated software
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to assess patient needs and provide compassionate care
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow established protocols and procedures
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and image processing
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • ARMRIT - Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist certification or eligible and obtained within 12 months of hire
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support
