Job Summary
Operates an MRI scanner to acquire diagnostic images by properly preparing patients, positioning them, and selecting appropriate parameters to produce high-quality cross-sectional images. Includes patient pre-screening and education, data entry and image transfers to PACS, contrast/medication administration within scope, equipment checks, and maintaining a clean, orderly department. Requires completion of an MRI or Radiology Technology program and ARRT-R credential (or ARMRIT/ARRT-MR within 12 months of hire); this PRN/part-time role offers shift differentials for night and weekend work and provides opportunities for MRI cross training.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an MRI or Radiology Technology program
- ARRT-R credential or ARMRIT/ARRT-MR within 12 months of hire date
- MRI cross training can be provided
- State-specific BLS/CPR certification may be required according to facility standards
