Job Summary
Perform daily MRI examinations, including proper patient positioning, protocol selection, and post-processing. Maintain equipment through daily check-ups and quality control per ACR and state regulations. Ensure a safe MR environment by screening all personnel entering the suite and performing IV insertions with contrast following OSHA guidelines. Maintain protocols as directed by the MRI Coordinator/Lead. Requires current BLS certification, proficiency in intravenous injections, and an ARRT or ARMRT certification. No on-call shifts or overnights.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of recognized, approved AMA council of Education program in radiological technology
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
- Current BLS
- Ability to deal efficiently and courteously with all clinical personnel and patients, and to establish effective working relationships
- Ability to perform intravenous injections with proficiency
