Job Summary
Explain MRI procedures, position patients according to protocols, and administer contrast agents under supervision. Operate MRI scanners to produce high-quality images, monitor patients during scans, and inspect results for diagnostic accuracy. Apply magnetic field safety and infection control practices while maintaining equipment through routine maintenance and troubleshooting. Record patient information in the EMR and collaborate with the healthcare team regarding status and imaging results. This part-time role requires an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT certification, and state licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- State licensure
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and MRI protocols
- Proficiency in operating MRI equipment and interpreting images
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- completion of accredited MRI program
- 1-2 years of clinical experience
- ARRT certification in MRI or equivalent credential
