MRI Technologist - PRN

Job Summary
Conduct MRI imaging as directed by clinicians, positioning patients for comfort while capturing diagnostic images using appropriate safety precautions. Prepare patients for procedures, answer examination-related questions, and mark encounter forms accurately. Maintain radiology equipment and supplies, perform routine maintenance and safety checks on x-ray equipment, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Receive outside exams, import them into the PACS system, and transfer images to discs when needed. Create and maintain written safety policies, manage inventory of radiologic stock, and communicate supply shortages to the manager. Comply with OSHA mandates, attend annual CPR, OSHA, and CLIA training, and participate in professional development activities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Certified Radiologic Technologist license
- Certified MRI license
- Complete understanding of MRI techniques and associated physics
- Working knowledge of managed care basics
- Experience working with a managed care and Medicare population
- Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications
- Knowledge of practice management and word processing software
- Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor
- Good communication skills
- Neat, professional appearance
