Job Summary
MRI Technologist I position at Atrium Health Mercy: operate MRI scanners and related equipment per department protocols, verify orders, obtain patient histories, prepare patients, administer IV contrast as per protocol, assess images with Radiologist as needed, ensure radiation safety, assist in emergencies, and coordinate with nursing and radiology staff. Requires ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology education, MRI ARRT registry eligibility or ARMRIT program enrollment, CPR certification, and obtaining MRI registry within 1 year of hire. Part-time PRN workload with duties related to MRI procedures, patient care, and equipment operation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an ARRT-recognized program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Active enrollment in MRI ARRT registry eligible or ARMRIT program required
- MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire
- CPR certification required
