Job Summary

Perform diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention while adhering to MRI safety principles. Assess patient conditions, acquire clinical history, and position equipment to achieve high-quality images, then evaluate technical quality and proper annotation. Administer contrast medication with or without power injectors, perform venipuncture, and manage adverse reactions or emergencies using standard precautions. Comply with all state, federal, and Baptist Health policies, including Quality Control standards and department guidelines. Assist in supervising student technologists and training new staff. Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure safety of all customers. May be required to work at any facility, provide patient transport, and maintain regular, punctual attendance.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Graduate of accredited school of Sonography
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine
  • Graduate of an approved MRI technologist program through American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
  • Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • Valid American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification
  • Valid Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification
  • Valid American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) certification
  • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
  • May be required to work at any facility

Desired Qualifications

  • MRI Tech with some experience for PRN/Pool role or willing to train FT
