Job Summary
Conduct scheduled and on-demand MRI scans, handling image reconstruction, archiving, and filming while reviewing diagnostic requests for correct anatomy. Explain procedures to patients, ensure safety through screening protocols, and assist with patient movement using lift devices. Consult with the Radiologist to apply proper scanning protocols, monitor patient flow for unscheduled studies, and identify equipment malfunctions. Perform weekly quality control, calibrations, and daily inventory management. Complete daily schedules and document procedures in the Radiology Information System. Assist in training new staff on AMI equipment. Available Monday through Saturday with shifts from 6:30am to 8pm or 7:30am to 4pm. Requires an accredited MRI program graduate, ARRT registration, and current BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited MRI program
- Registered in MRI by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or ARMRIT
- Current and valid American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Willingness to obtain venipuncture training/certification if not currently trained
- Exceptional communication skills, including interpersonal, verbal, and written
- Patient-focused and team-centered approach
- Commitment to the entire patient experience
- Available for Monday-Friday 6:30am-8pm and Saturdays 7:30am-4pm shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience or certification in venipuncture for the injection of contrast media via butterfly needle and IV catheter
