Job Summary
Prepare MRI rooms, process images, and maintain supply levels while ensuring equipment meets manufacturer specifications. Perform quality diagnostic testing by positioning patients, developing films, and evaluating images for technical accuracy. Provide patient education, alleviate anxiety, and verify physician orders before procedures. Maintain safe radiation levels, perform equipment checks, and adhere to sterile techniques and infection control policies. Input patient information accurately into the departmental computer system and check-in patients as directed. Rotate shifts and assignments as required, arriving ready to begin work and leaving at the end of the assigned shift.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma OR General Education Development (GED)
- Radiologic Technologist Certification OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Magnetic Resonance Imaging OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists Certificate
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington)
- Basic Life Support
- Knowledge of radiation safety, safety precautions, and infection control practices
- Communication, interpersonal, customer service, and problem solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of MRI experience
- One (1) year of direct experience with cross-sectional anatomy
