Job Summary
Operate MRI equipment to produce clinical diagnostic images under the direction of a Radiologist, ensuring patient identification, safety standards, and completion of required forms. Accurately utilize the PACS to make images available for interpretation and enter proper exam coding in the Radiology Information System to complete exams timely. Prepares and positions patients, provides clear instructions, and ensures image quality meets departmental SOP guidelines while reporting any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor. Instructs and supervises radiography students in clinical practicum, performing exams and evaluating individual images. Requires a New York State Radiologic Technologist License or Temp Permit, an AMA approved Technical Diploma, and an American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Advanced Certification in MRI within 180 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Technical Diploma Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiology or Imaging Services
- New York State Radiologic Technologist License or New York State Radiologic Technologist Temp Permit
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Advanced Certification in MRI required within 180 days of Hire or transfer
- Strong communication (both written and oral)

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree In Radiology Program or related Health field
- 1 - 2 years MRI technologist or training experience
