Job Summary
Conduct MRI procedures for patients of all ages by reviewing charts, assessing contraindications, and performing safety screenings for ferrous materials. Select optimal imaging parameters and administer contrast agents while monitoring patients for reactions. Provide clear instructions, obtain informed consent, and respond to emergent clinical issues or operational requests. Reformat images, send studies to PACS and Nighthawk, and maintain equipment through daily QA and warm-up cycles. Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and retrieving lab results as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be registered technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Must have (2) years' experience as MRI technologist
- Must be certified as a MRI technologist
- Certified MRI Technologist
- Registered Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Computer literate
- Knowledgeable of human cross sectional anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and medical terminology
- Competence in both oral and written English
- Must obtain necessary certifications as required by regulatory agencies
- Attends annual and periodic mandatory Compliance Program training including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy training
- Maintains confidentiality of patients, families, and staff
