Job Summary
Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation, ensuring patient safety and adherence to standard operating protocols. Accurately utilize the PACS to make images available and enter proper exam coding in the Radiology Information System. Assist in facility and equipment maintenance while instructing and supervising radiography students in clinical practicums. Perform required patient identification, safety checks, and form completion before allowing patients to leave the zone area. Submit reports for equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly. This per diem role supports NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island's diagnostic and therapeutic care services.
Required Qualifications
- Technical Diploma Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiology or Imaging Services
- New York State Radiologic Technologist License or New York State Radiologic Technologist Temp Permit
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Strong communication (both written and oral)

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor s Degree In Radiology Program or related Health field
- 1 - 2 years MRI technologist or training experience
