Job Summary
MRI technologist will safely perform MRI studies, prepare patients, position, set imaging parameters, acquire and process images, display images, and select imaging protocols. Responsible for quality assurance, safety procedures, administering MR contrast agents, IV insertions, EMR documentation, and coordinating care with radiologists, nurses, and other staff. Must rotate to MRI scanners across the department and ensure patient safety and protocol adherence. Performs routine outpatient exams with/without contrast and handles QA and equipment issues as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Medical Imaging Certificate program required
- Associate's degree preferred
- BLS certification within 90 days
- Advanced MR certification within 12 months of hire date (ARRT or ARMRIT)
