Job Summary
Provide quality patient imaging specific to MRI in accordance with physicians orders, ensuring patient safety and high-quality testing. Prepare MRI rooms, process images, maintain supply levels, and operate equipment according to prescribed safety standards. Perform diagnostic testing by positioning patients, developing films, and evaluating images for technical quality. Deliver patient education, alleviate anxiety, and verify procedures against orders while managing contrast agents. Maintain radiation safety, complete quality assurance activities, and ensure accurate patient identification and confidentiality. Input patient information into the departmental computer system and rotate shifts as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma OR General Education Development (GED)
- Radiologic Technologist Certification OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Magnetic Resonance Imaging OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists Certificate
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington)
- Basic Life Support
- Knowledge of radiation safety, safety precautions, and infection control practices
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of MRI experience
- One (1) year of direct experience with cross-sectional anatomy
