Job Summary
Under the direction of the MRI Manager/Supervisor, the MRI technologist performs all technical procedures within their modality, obtains high-quality patient scans, and ensures patient safety. Responsibilities include adherence to HIPAA guidelines, participation in QA/QI activities, training staff, safeguarding imaging systems and data, accurate patient communication, managing imaging datasets and EMR, and supporting departmental education and research in a fast-paced clinical environment. Located in Boston and surrounding communities, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute emphasizes inclusive, diverse care and collaboration with Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of a hospital-based and/or an accredited imaging technology program (e.g., MRI, Radiography, Nuclear Medicine).
- Current ARRT (RT-MR) or ARMRIT (RT-MR, ARMRIT) registration at time of hire or must obtain within 1 year of hire.
- If no ARRT (RT-MR) certification at the time of hire, a current ARRT Radiography (RT-R) registration and/or current ARRT Nuclear Medicine Technology (RT-N) registration and/or current NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technology (CNMT) registration is required.
- Current BLS certification or must obtain an active BLS certification within 90-days of hire.
