Job Summary
The MRI Technologist will deliver exceptional MR imaging services, ensuring accurate and high-quality diagnostic images while prioritizing patient care. Responsibilities include interpreting physician orders, explaining procedures to patients, reviewing patient history for safety, positioning patients for scans, evaluating scan images, and maintaining MRI equipment. Required qualifications include ARRT, ARMRIT or NMTCB certification, and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field, along with experience in MRI imaging and safety protocols. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Active ARRT, ARMRIT or NMTCB certification
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- Proven experience as a MRI Technologist
- Strong understanding of MRI imaging principles and protocols
- Knowledge of anatomy, MRI physics and IV administration
- Strong understanding of MRI safety
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Organizational and math skills for managing supplies, contrast administration, and inventory
- Strong problem-solving and observational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism with sensitive patient information
- Exceptional bedside manner
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with PACS systems (AMBRA preferred)
- Deep familiarity with MRI equipment (Siemens preferred)
- Experience with Whole Body MRI (not mandatory)
- Proficiency in operating MRI equipment, Google suite, and health information systems
