Job Summary
Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images under radiologist direction, ensuring patient safety and protocol compliance. Accurately utilize PACS to make images available and enter proper exam coding in the Radiology Information System. Assist in facility and equipment maintenance while instructing and supervising radiography students in clinical practicum. Prepare and position patients, immobilize as needed, and provide clear instructions before exams. Practice safety protocols regarding magnetic fields and report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor. Requires NY State license, ARRT Advanced Certification in MRI, and strong communication skills. Salary range $55.07 - $60.83 hourly.
Required Qualifications
- Technical Diploma Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiology or Imaging Services
- New York State Radiologic Technologist License or New York State Radiologic Technologist Temp Permit
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Advanced Certification in MRI required within 180 days of Hire or transfer
- Strong communication (both written and oral)

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor s Degree In Radiology Program or related Health field
- 1 - 2 years MRI technologist or training experience
