Job Summary
Perform routine MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols, safety guidelines, and quality standards under direct supervision. Prepare patients for procedures, correlate clinical history with physician-ordered exams, and safely administer contrast per protocol. Demonstrate the ability to recognize basic imaging artifacts, implement corrective measures, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team. Accurately transfer images and data to designated systems, complete technical documentation, and prepare studies for physician reporting. Conduct operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfection, and basic equipment maintenance. Document in EMR/PACS and actively participate in continuing education and research initiatives. If trained and verified in Cardiac MRI, acquire standard cardiac imaging sequences, apply ECG gating techniques, and troubleshoot basic signal issues. Work a 4 x 10 shift schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association
- ARRT(RT) or ARMRIT certification
- ARRT(RT)(MR) or ARMRIT certification
- Associate's Degree
- At least 3 years of MRI experience
- At least 5 years of MRI experience
- Foundational knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology
- basic radiologic technology concepts
- MRI‐related terminology
- core MRI theory, practices, and techniques
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team
