Job Summary

Performs magnetic resonance imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Responsibilities include reviewing patient history and orders, scheduling, educating patients about procedures and equipment, administering contrast media within scope, monitoring patient condition, preparing and operating equipment, selecting exposure factors and imaging parameters, implementing safety standards, performing quality control, troubleshooting equipment, positioning patients, performing imaging procedures, analyzing results, reporting scan results, and entering/transmitting reports. Must demonstrate critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program, ARRT MRI or ARMRIT registration (registry eligible with registry completed within 12 months), state licensure if required, and BLS/CPR certification. This is an onsite role with a full-time schedule including weekend night shifts; compensation is described as an hourly range and benefits are provided in the UCHealth total rewards program.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • Registered as a Technologist (RT) and registered in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or registry eligible with completing of registry within 12 months by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Radiography) or by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
  • State licensure if required by law
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
