Job Summary

Review patient history, physician orders, and schedules; educate patients on procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation. When ordered, prepare and administer contrast media or medications, then monitor patient conditions and report status changes. Prepare equipment, select imaging parameters, and perform quality control while troubleshooting malfunctions. Position patients, perform MRI procedures, analyze results for quality issues, and transmit scan reports. Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Full-time weekend nights shift with pay dependent on experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • Registered as a Technologist (RT)
  • Registered in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • Registry eligible with completing of registry within 12 months by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Radiography) or by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
  • State licensure if required by law
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
  • BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Decisive judgement
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
