Job Summary

Perform magnetic resonance imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards, reviewing patient history and physician orders while scheduling exams. Educate patients regarding procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation, and when ordered, prepare and administer contrast media or medications. Continually monitor patient condition, report status changes, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. Position patients, select imaging parameters, implement safety standards, and perform quality control procedures. Analyze results, resolve image quality issues, and enter scan reports. Requires critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • Registered as a Technologist (RT)
  • Registered in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • Registry eligible with completing of registry within 12 months by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Radiography) or by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
  • State licensure if required by law
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
  • BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
  • Weekend Nights shift availability
  • Full Time employment
  • 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) schedule
