Job Summary
Review patient history, physician orders, and schedules; educate patients on procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation. Prepare and administer contrast media or medications when ordered, while monitoring patient status and reporting changes. Select appropriate imaging parameters, position patients, and perform MRI scans, analyzing results to resolve quality issues. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement safety standards and quality control procedures. Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Full-time weekend nights shift with pay dependent on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered as a Technologist (RT)
- Registered in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
- Registry eligible with completing of registry within 12 months by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Radiography) or by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
- State licensure if required by law
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Requires critical thinking skills
- Requires decisive judgement
- Must be able to work weekend nights
- This position is an onsite role
