Job Summary
Perform magnetic resonance imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards, reviewing patient history and physician orders while educating patients to ensure cooperation. Prepare and administer contrast media or medications when ordered, monitor patient condition, and report status changes. Select appropriate exposure factors, implement safety standards, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. Position patients, analyze imaging results, and resolve quality issues by re-positioning or repeating procedures. Enter, transmit, and report scan results while exercising critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment. This onsite role at UCHlth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO, requires a weekend night shift with full-time hours.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered as a Technologist (RT)
- Registered in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
- Registry eligible with completing of registry within 12 months by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Radiography) or by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
- State licensure if required by law
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Critical thinking skills

- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
