Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures using MRI equipment while reviewing metal screening forms, obtaining consent, and verifying chart authorization. Manually pull patients from the scanner during power outages and explain the procedure thoroughly before and throughout the exam. Maintain equipment according to protocol, report malfunctions to the Field Engineer, and ensure only screened personnel and MR-safe equipment enter the room. Actively participate in Quality Assurance monitoring, accreditation processes, and record keeping for billing and patient confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in MRI equipment operation and safety protocols
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to follow and adapt imaging protocols
- Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and QA regulations
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or related field
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
- Ability to lift greater than 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand for extended periods during procedures
- Must be available for travel between clinic locations
Desired Qualifications
- ARRT (MR) certification preferred
