Job Summary
Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established protocols, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality diagnostic images for Radiologist interpretation. Verify patient information and medical history, maintain accurate documentation, and adhere to all MRI safety standards and departmental procedures. Assist with general Radiology Department operations, communicate effectively with physicians and patients, and maintain equipment while reporting operational concerns. This role serves as a key point of contact throughout the imaging process in a collaborative Northern New York healthcare environment. Weekend coverage is required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited 24-month Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT Certification in Radiography
- New York State License in Radiologic Technology
- BLS Certification (or obtained within 3 months of hire)
- NYS IV Contrast Certification (or obtained within 6 months of hire)
- Weekend Requirement: Yes
- Full-Time | Evening Shift | 36 Hours per Week
- Schedule: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience
- ARRT Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
- Strong attention to detail and patient safety
