Job Summary
Perform Magnetic Resonance imaging studies while providing total patient care in a comfortable environment, including room preparation, patient screening for contraindications, and administering contrast media with observation for allergic reactions. Determine proper scanning parameters and sequences according to radiologist protocols, operate MRIs and scanning workstations, and maintain equipment through proper usage and maintenance. Participate in departmental quality assessment programs, identify service improvement opportunities, and implement actions consistent with hospital goals. Operate hospital computer systems for patient data entry, order entry, and study completion while maintaining safe work habits and reporting unsafe conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year experience
- MRI certification upon hire: ARRT or ARMRIT
- American Heart Association BLS Certification upon hire and must maintain
- Must have the ability to work well with others
- Good Communication skills
- Regular attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Certified MRI Safety Officer, MRSO
