Job Summary
The MRI Technologist performs safety screenings for MRI contraindications, verifies patient identification and procedures, and demonstrates expertise in administering IV contrast and monitoring patient reactions. Responsibilities include preparing and operating MRI equipment, positioning patients, modifying technical settings, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. The role requires strong interpersonal skills for patient communication and collaboration with the healthcare team, along with participation in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- Permit to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Montana
- Maintain BLS
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in MRI (minimum one year)
- Graduation from an approved School of Radiology Technology
- Registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- BLS certification
Additional Requirements
- May be required to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, nights, extended shifts, and standby/call
