Job Summary
Operate all aspects of MR scanning units, incorporating extensive knowledge of system computer and program modalities to perform scanning procedures and transfer images for interpretation. Evaluate screening to ensure patient safety in the magnetic field and consult with the Radiologist to implement proper scanning protocols. Complete daily work schedules, document in Zotec, and perform quality control testing, equipment calibrations, and warm-up/shut-down procedures. Monitor patient flow to accommodate unscheduled patients and add-on studies while advising the Chief Technologist on maintenance needs. Demonstrate competency with patients across all age categories, from neonatal to geriatric, and respond to office codes to ensure safety and security. Full-time, 40-hour position with Mondays off, four 10-hour shifts, and a $15/hour shift differential after 8pm. AMI offers a growing outpatient Radiology practice with competitive rates increasing based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited MRI program
- Registered in MRI by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or ARMRIT
- Current and valid American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Exceptional communication skills, including interpersonal, verbal, and written
- Patient-focused and team-centered approach
- Commitment to the entire patient experience
- Willingness to obtain venipuncture training/certification for injection of contrast media via butterfly needle and IV catheter if not currently trained
