Job Summary

Operates MRI equipment and performs diagnostic MRI procedures on patients according to established protocols to assist radiologists in diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include patient age/diagnosis-based technique selection, obtaining technically accurate cross-sectional images, assisting with complex invasive MRI exams, intravenous access and contrast administration per protocol, maintaining MRI safety, equipment, and work areas, documenting procedures and patient data, preparing examinations for radiologist interpretation, and providing supervision/instruction to students while collaborating with the radiology team to deliver high-quality care.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate AMA approved radiology program
  • Registration with American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
  • MRI certification (or obtained within six months of hire)
  • CT state license
  • CPR certification may be required
  • Maintenance of continuing education credits as required by licensure
