Job Summary
Operate magnetic resonance scanners to obtain images for physician diagnosis and treatment, ensuring patients are free of interfering objects. Archive raw data, develop films in automatic processors, and enter patient data while monitoring acquisition. Instruct staff and students on equipment operation and patient positioning to achieve desired diagnostic results. Notify personnel of equipment malfunctions and repairs, and transfer images from media to produce transparencies. Schedule examinations for optimal equipment utilization and participate in multidisciplinary quality improvement teams. Maintain compliance with governmental regulations, accreditation standards, and department policies. Requires ARRT registration and 1-2 years of related experience.
Required Qualifications
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensed by State of Maryland
- ARRT (MR)
- 1-2 years Related experience in a specialty (i.e. CT scan)
- ARRT Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and license by State of Maryland
- ARRDMS or ARRT - Magnetic Resonance ARRT (MR)
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days
