Job Summary
Operate magnetic resonance scanners to obtain images for physician diagnosis, ensuring patients are cleared of interfering objects and entering data before each examination. Archive raw data, develop films in automatic processors, and transfer images to media for transparency production. Instruct staff and students on equipment operation and patient positioning while scheduling exams to optimize equipment utilization. Notify personnel of malfunctions and participate in multidisciplinary quality improvement teams. Adhere to department policies, safety standards, and governmental regulations. Requires ARRT registration and 1-2 years of related experience.
Required Qualifications
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensed by State of Maryland
- ARRT (MR)
- 1-2 years Related experience in a specialty (i.e. CT scan)
- ARRT Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and license by State of Maryland
- ARRDMS or ARRT - Magnetic Resonance ARRT (MR)
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days
