Job Summary
Perform MRI exams by selecting software parameters, preparing and positioning patients, and administering contrast media while conducting safety screenings. Accurately input data into the RIS, transfer images to PACS, and perform venipuncture as needed. Review physician orders and patient charts to ensure correct procedures, explain procedures to patients, and maintain infection control protocols. Maintain exam rooms, document quality assurance testing, and transport patients when necessary. Provide clinical supervision to students and participate in departmental quality and safety initiatives. Work Monday through Friday from 3p-11:30p with a new hire bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT) or graduate from American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARM RIT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Experience with PACS and digital Technology
- Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with departments, employees, physicians and managers
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to handle different patient population including difficult patients
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of cross-section anatomy preferred
