Job Summary
Under general supervision, perform diversified clinical patient care, technical duties, and related responsibilities within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team. Conduct patient assessments, correlate clinical findings with exam requests, and document all data within the EHR. Educate patients, position them, and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies to produce quality images. Identify, prepare, and administer pharmaceuticals related to exams. Apply MR safety principles to minimize risk and assist physicians in performing procedures. This 11-13 week assignment includes evening shifts from 2:30pm to 11pm with an on-call rotation every sixth weekend and weeknight. The role is based at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA, with the ability to float to other Southcoast Hospital locations.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or Radiation Therapy
- Attainment of post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
- Successful completion of an accredited program in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and attainment of primary certification from the ARRT, ARMRIT, or CAMRT
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of one year of MRI experience
- Ability to efficiently float to other like-units for patient assignments
- Fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
- Availability for every 6th weekend and weeknight on-call rotation
