Job Summary
Operate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images for physician diagnosis and treatment, selecting appropriate imaging techniques and protocols. Receive patients, explain examination methods, position them, perform IV punctures, and administer contrast agents when indicated. Independently complete routine exams while ensuring safety, care, and efficiency through effective communication with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team. Work full-time (36 hours) Monday through Thursday from 4pm to 2:30am at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, Montana.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or Technical School
- Current ARRT (R) registry
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Applicable State License
- Currently attending and receiving formal training from an accredited training program
- successful completion of formal training from an approved/accredited school
- a licensed American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) technologist who has been selected to cross-train in another modality
Desired Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of experience as a MRI Technologist
- Three years of experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- IV Certification
- 1-2 years customer service or patient care experience
