Job Summary
MRI Technologist position (full-time) at West Hospital in Avon, IN. Responsibilities include performing MRI scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort, administering IV contrast, monitoring for adverse reactions, maintaining MRI safety zones, understanding cross-sectional anatomy, adjusting protocols to achieve diagnostic images, conducting routine QC, documenting in EMR, collaborating with radiologists and referring physicians, and assisting with minimally invasive procedures. Requires BLS certification, 0-3 years of relevant experience, and ARRT RT(MR) or ARMRIT MR certification within 12 months of hire; ISDH license may be required. Sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- MRI experience (preferred)
- Advanced certification: RT(MR) or RMRIT within 12 months of hire
- Possesses knowledge of MRI safety and safety zones
- Obtains IV access and administers contrast
- Familiar with recognizing and responding to adverse contrast events
- Cross-sectional anatomy knowledge
- Ability to screen patients and visitors for safety in MRI environment
- Experience with EMR documentation
- Ability to assist with minimally invasive procedures as needed
- ISDH license (if applicable)
