Job Summary
Perform all established MRI imaging procedures, selecting proper technique protocols and preparing patients using immobilization devices as required. Process and develop images per established procedures while assessing, treating, and caring for patients across all age groups from neonatal to geriatric. Implement appropriate care plans based on developmental stages and conduct patient and family education. Perform calibration and quality control procedures to assure optimal equipment quality, notifying supervisors of unusual findings. Maintain accurate patient and operational records consistent with the Radiology Department.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in allied health field
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registered as an MR technologist
- ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists) registered as an MR technologist
- Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association
- Minimum 6 months supervised MRI experience

- Demonstrated knowledge of the correct use of body mechanics
