Job Summary
Perform advanced MRI imaging procedures requiring independent judgment and comprehensive knowledge of MRI physics and medical implants. Adapt to new imaging techniques while enforcing strict safety protocols for patients with pacemakers, nerve stimulation devices, and electronic pumps. Provide compassionate care to patients experiencing claustrophobia and assist them in overcoming discomfort. Operate under the general supervision of the Radiologist and MRI Supervisor. Maintain ARRT MRI certification, BLS certification, and CE compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from school of Radiologic Technology approved by CAHEA/JRCT
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), ARMRIT, or certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- ARRT MRI Certification
- 5 years of progressive clinical experience in MR
- Demonstrated superior technical knowledge and expertise in cross sectional anatomy
- Advanced MRI specific certification by ARRT
- CE compliant according to governing body guidelines
- BLS certified
- Screened prior to hiring to ensure safety in the work environment regarding medical implants
