Job Summary
Perform advanced MRI imaging procedures requiring independent judgment and comprehensive knowledge of MRI physics and biological effects. Enforce strict MRI safety protocols regarding medical implants, including pacemakers, nerve stimulation devices, and electronic pumps, to prevent severe injury or death. Adapt to evolving technology and new imaging techniques while providing compassionate care to patients with claustrophobia. Operate under the general supervision of the Radiologist and MRI Supervisor. Requires ARRT MRI certification, five years of progressive clinical experience, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from school of Radiologic Technology approved by CAHEA/JRCT
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), ARMRIT, or certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- ARRT MRI Certification
- 5 years of progressive clinical experience in MR
- Demonstrated superior technical knowledge and expertise in cross sectional anatomy
- Advanced MRI specific certification by ARRT
- CE compliant according to governing body guidelines
- BLS certified
- Screened prior to hiring to ensure safety in the work environment regarding medical implants
