MRI Technologist II

Perform routine and specialized MRI imaging procedures, selecting appropriate technical factors and administering contrast according to facility policy. Screen every patient, ensure proper positioning to reduce burn risks, and restrict access to authorized personnel while maintaining MR safety protocols. Transport patients to the scanner, verify physician orders, and explain procedures to promote comfort. Prioritize patient flow, coordinate care with the team, and process completed exams for interpretation while documenting activities in electronic health records. Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives, equipment quality control, and staff training. Maintain departmental supplies and inventory, reporting equipment issues and performing ACR-required phantom testing.
