Job Summary
Perform diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and intervention while adhering to MRI safety principles. Assess patient conditions, acquire clinical history, and position equipment to achieve high-quality images. Administer contrast medication, perform venipuncture, and manage adverse reactions or emergencies using standard precautions. Comply with state and federal regulations, participate in quality control tasks, and assist in supervising student technologists. Maintain punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies. Full-time day shift required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Graduate of accredited school of Sonography
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine
- Graduate of an approved MRI technologist program through American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
- Mandatory minimum of two (2) years MRI experience
- Advanced imaging experience and proficiency, including 3D Lab, IR procedural imaging, Breast imaging or Cardiac imaging
- Site proctor/preceptor for onboarding new hires and cross-training
- Primary responsibility: Dual imaging roles, with current proficiency and routinely performing in secondary modality
- Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Valid American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification
- Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification (MRI)
- Graduate of an approved MRI technologist program through American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
- Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
- Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida
