Job Summary
MRI Technologist II Acute at Novant Health (Charlotte, NC) supports acute care imaging by preparing patients and safely operating MR equipment to obtain diagnostic scans in inpatient, outpatient, ED, and operating room settings. Requires ARRT MR certification (registered within 6 months of hire) and an ARRT-approved radiography or MR program education; state licensure. 1+ year MR experience preferred. Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to tailor care to age-specific needs are essential. Eligible for sign-on bonus. Schedule: 40 hours/week, Mon–Fri, 6:30am–3:00pm with rotating holidays/call.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT (R)(MR) or (MR) certification (registered within 6 months of hire)
- Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required
- Applicable state license, required
- Educational: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred
- Experience: Minimum of one year of MR experience, preferred
- Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment; analytical ability; basic computer skills; ability to interpret information to identify patient care needs by age group; good communication skills
