Job Summary
Perform MRI procedures and quality control while conducting safety screenings for patients and research implanted devices. Obtain clinical histories, verify insurance pre-authorization, and enter accurate study information into clinical care systems. Assist with workflow coordination, obtain IV access, and assess patients for adverse reactions or status changes. Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including ACR and Joint Commission standards. Shift runs 2:15pm to 10:45pm with weekends required. ARRT registration and Advanced MRI certification within two years of hire are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- MR Technologist—experience
- ARRT Registered Technologist
- ARRT Advanced MRI Certification
- Cerner training
- Excellent customer service/telephone skills
- Flexibility in hours
- Flexibility to work at alternate locations
- Ability to work independently
- Completion of ARRT registry in radiologic technology
- Completion of ARRT registry in MRI
- State Licensure on Radiation Protection
- Completion of formal and/or on the job training on cross sectional anatomy
- Associate's degree (or related field)
- Certification in CPR
- Yearly PEEPS certification
- Completion of IV training course
- Successful completion of the MRI Registry exam
