Job Summary
Execute basic clinical competence in MRI across all patient types, selecting accurate technical factors and administering contrast per facility policy. Screen every patient, ensure proper positioning to prevent burns, and protect the MR environment by excluding ferromagnetic devices. Transport patients, verify orders, and explain procedures to ensure comfort while prioritizing patient flow and coordinating with the care team. Maintain supplies, document equipment quality control, and perform QA phantoms as required by ACR. Participate in performance improvement initiatives, student training, and educational activities while adhering to SPIRIT values and regulatory compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Certificate in Radiologic Technology or MRI from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
- ARMRIT Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist certification
- ARRT (MRI) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in MRI or other Imaging Modalities
- Completed an MRI certificate or cross-training program
