Job Summary
Under the direction of the radiologist, provide MRI services for patient diagnosis by following physician instructions, positioning patients, preparing and operating equipment, and accurately recording requested images. Maintain certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography or Magnetic Resonance Imaging with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists, ensuring certification is obtained within six months of hire. Complete a full-time schedule of two 8-hour day shifts and two 12-hour day shifts, with on-call rotation every fourth weekend and rotating holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in allied health, applied/radiologic science or certificate program
- 1 year of Radiology Technology experience preferred
- Certification or registry eligible as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) or a Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Certification or registry eligible as a Registered Technologist by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
- Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer
- If certified through ARRT, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) certification/registry
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
