Job Summary

Perform and maintain daily check-ups and quality control on MRI scanners per American College of Radiology and state regulations. Execute all MRI examinations, including proper patient positioning, protocol selection, and post-processing, while ensuring safe MR environments through rigorous screening. Conduct intravenous insertions for contrast administration following OSHA guidelines. Maintain protocols as directed by the MRI Coordinator and demonstrate proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy identification. Requires current BLS certification, ARRT or ARMRT certification, and demonstrated IV injection proficiency. No on-call shifts or overnights.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of recognized, approved AMA council of Education program in radiological technology
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
  • Current BLS
  • Ability to deal efficiently and courteously with all clinical personnel and patients, and to establish effective working relationships
  • Must demonstrate ability to perform intravenous injections with proficiency
