MRI Technologist (Full Time) - Einstein Philadelphia

Job Summary

Perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures to produce detailed tissue images for medical diagnosis under radiologist supervision. Prepare pertinent information for physician and care team review, and deliver patient care and education before, during, and after diagnostic imaging. Process and evaluate technical image quality, maintain critical patient positioning during contrast media flow, and instruct patients on body positioning and procedure details. Determine equipment requirements based on physician diagnoses, maintain MRI equipment through cleaning and testing, and implement safety guidelines. Respond to emergent situations and perform other related duties as directed by the lead technologist.

Required Qualifications

  • Specialized Diploma Graduate of an approved American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) program or High School Diploma/GED with AART certification
  • Knowledge of radiography tools, techniques and applications, ability to utilize imaging technology on patients for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes
  • Knowledge of and ability to prepare patients for diagnostic/radiological imaging and to monitor patients' reactions during and after a procedure
  • Responds to emergent situations by applying appropriate measures
  • BLS - Basic Life Support AHA - American Heart Association
  • May require travel between Jefferson sites
  • Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
  • Frequent to continuous standing/walking
  • Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift
  • activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR
