Job Summary
The MRI Technologist (Float) performs MRI procedures according to protocol and age-specific needs, ensuring patient preparation and monitoring. Responsibilities include interfacing with patients, reviewing charts, performing high quality scans, maintaining equipment, and coordinating with Radiologists. A successful candidate must have strong technical skills, ethical conduct, and effective time management, while also being capable of educating patients and working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- Two plus years’ experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
- Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
- Current CPR certification
