Job Summary
Perform MRI procedures by verifying referring providers' orders and educating patients on treatment protocols. Produce high-quality images, prepare pertinent data for interpretation, and maintain accurate documentation. Operate equipment by performing quality control measurements, troubleshooting performance issues, and ensuring a safe environment. Manage department workflow by monitoring inventory and adhering to regulatory, accreditation, and safety policies. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and demonstrate professional conduct in all interactions. Full-time, 36-hour schedule with 3x12-hour shifts including weekend, evening, and night differentials.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program
- National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists
- Licensure by the state regulatory agency if applicable
- Advance certification by accrediting body in specialty required within 18 months of hire if applicable
- BLS certification
- Clinical knowledge typically achieved with 2 years of experience
- Effective communication skills
- Human relations skills
- Ability to analyze data and solve problems
- Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting (for Foundation Registry and travel positions)
- Experience working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months in the area of specialty (for Foundation Registry and travel positions)
